The Music as Therapy International office is run by a team of four on a part-time basis. Although we are a small charity our achievements have received public recognition in recent years. This year we were delighted to have our Interactive Music-Making course shortlisted for an Advancing Healthcare Award for the second time! This year we are in the category of 'Supporting the future workforce'. You can read more about the course here |

This accolade follows our earlier Charity Award for International Aid and Development. This was an award that recognises and celebrates excellence in the strategy and management of charities, perhaps the “how” rather than the “what” we do. It was great independent affirmation that we operate efficiently and that donations are well handled. This is a huge endorsement of our work and that of all our Local Partners. |

Music as Therapy International were awarded a BBC Radio 4 appeal slot in July 2012. It aired on Sunday 1st and again on Thursday 5th July. We were delighted that Imelda Staunton agreed to present the appeal for us. Not only was this an opportunity to appeal to the public for support of our work but also reflected that the charity stood up to the scrutiny of the selection process.
