• Admin crisis resolved

We have been rescued by a computer genius who has managed to restore our hard drive to its former glory. A big thank you to everyone who volunteered. Your generosity was greatly appreciated and won't be forgotten!

  • Admin help needed!

Our hard drive failed this week and although most of our documents have been restored, they no longer have file names or creation dates.  We need to go through every single one and work out what it is so we can rename it and there are many files we need to locate urgently for us to continue work we are doing right now.

Is there anyone out there who would be willing to donate as many hours or days as they can to come into our office in London and help? (The Co-op Centre, 11 Mowll Street, nearest tube is Oval)  If you are interested, please email timtwomey@musicastherapy.org, sending a copy of your CV.  Please note, this is a voluntary position but a great opportunity to see the inside of a small charity, particularly if you have any interest in music therapy or overseas developmen

  • Administrator Position now filled

We are delighted to have found an excellent new administrator to take over from Liz Nicholson.  Tim Twomey will start work with us later in August.

  • Part-Time Administrator position

We are currently looking for a new Administrator to join our team. The position is 2.5 days per week (18.75 hours) with flexibility in terms of configuration.  It is based in our office at The Oval, SW9.  It is an autonomous role which could fit with juggling family responsibilities.  Salary:  £19-21,000 pro rata, subject to experience.

Given the variety of tasks and the way Music as Therapy International operates, this is a great opportunity to get really involved in the day-to-day working of a small charity.  The job requires a self-motivated person who is able to use their own initiative and work creatively with the Charity Director, Projects’ Co-ordinator and other volunteers.  Prior experience of fundraising from trusts and desktop publishing would be beneficial.

Responsibilities will be varied, but the focus will be on providing solid administrative support (to include PAYE, database and website maintenance, servicing meetings and office management) and taking shared responsibility for fundraising.  You will also have the opportunity to get involved with volunteer recruitment, co-ordination of overseas projects and producing in-house publications.  An interest in music therapy and/or international development would make the job more interesting for you!
