At the end of March, Alexia, Sarah Hadley and our tutors from the Interactive Music-Making course went to the Advancing Health care Awards ceremony. The course had been
nominated for an award in the “Achieving Excellence in
Learning and Development” category. The competition was close
and unfortunately we didn’t win. However, chair of the BAMT, Angela
Harrison attended and said the following:

“Many congratulations to Alexia Quin, Sarah Hadley and the music therapy team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust who were shortlisted for the ‘Achieving Excellence in Learning and
Development Award’ and had their achievements celebrated at the recent awards ceremony. I was very proud to share in their moment of success and to enjoy the rare treat of a full table of
music therapists amongst a mixed gathering of Allied Health Professionals. Well done to all involved!”
