We are thrilled to celebrate our newest cohort of eleven Interactive Music-Making (IMM) graduates, who have spent the past nine months building their musical skills to transform the way they support young children.

After coming together for their final Presentation Day in June, the group received their final moderation in July. Having successfully evidenced the skills, techniques and underpinning theory they have each embedded into their practice, we are delighted to welcome 11 early years practitioners into our growing community of Interactive Music-Makers!

It is deeply gratifying putting the workshop and theoretical teachings into practice. Mixing everything with my own creative ideas, lived experience and passion for music continues to help me create a unique and tailored musical experience for families. This is such a heartwarming and rewarding experience.

This year’s cohort demonstrated just how transformative Interactive Music-Making can be. Practitioners shared moving stories of children finding their voice, building self-assurance and forming stronger social bonds through child-led music.

The impact of this year’s programme speaks for itself:

  • 11 early years practitioners trained and equipped to embed music into their daily work.
  • 67 children directly participated in tailored Interactive Music-Making sessions.
  • 1,434 children have the opportunity to access ongoing music sessions in their early years settings as a direct result of this year’s programme.

It is a fantastic course that positively impacts children and shows such a love for children and their development.

Applications are now open for our upcoming Interactive Music-Making programme running from East London, with weekly afternoon sessions taking place between November 2026 and February 2027.

We offer FREE Award places for eligible early years practitioners, alongside subsidised options.
