Led by Tamar (Tako Jordania) in collaboration with Music as Therapy International, the Distance Learning Programme in Georgia supports practitioners working with children with disabilities to develop practical, music-based approaches within their care settings. The course combines online tutorials, reflective assignments and in-person training, before progressing into a supervised practical phase where participants apply their learning directly in practice.
Over the past months, students have explored how music can support communication, emotional expression, relationship-building and reflective practice through monthly tutorials, written assignments and collaborative learning.
As one participant shared:
The most useful thing for me was learning how music can be used for communication, emotional expression, and building relationships.

Another reflected:
I think I will use everything I learned, and doing the assignments was also very useful because it developed better reflective skills, which is very important in my practice.

We are proud of the commitment, thoughtfulness and care shown throughout the programme so far, and we wish all students the very best as they begin their Practical Assignments!
