Last Wednesday, Clare Reynolds returned to Invernevis House to deliver a Follow-Up Visit with the staff she trained in Autumn last year:

It was lovely to head back to Invernevis House last week for a follow-up visit 4 months after my initial Music as Therapy International training. It was even more lovely to hear how music is becoming embedded within the daily life of the residents. Donna, Mandy and Helen have all been working hard and developing their musical skills with the residents.

Individual work has been taking place as well as Mandy’s weekly group singing session, and Donna has been introducing a special evening session which is offering an important social opportunity and calmness at a difficult time after dinner. Helen, due to staffing shortages, was unfortunately unable to show me the work she has been doing within the daycare unit in Invernevis but I am looking forward to catching up with her very soon. All in all I left with a very positive feeling and one that tells me music is making an active difference in the lives of the residents of Invernevis House.
