Well, another supervision project with our local partners in Tbilisi has come to an end! Our third and final meetings took place a few weeks ago over Zoom. Thanks to Eliso who provided her invaluable skills as an interpreter for the meetings as usual. As before, there were four supervisees who I met with as two pairs, each person having half the allotted time of their meeting to share videos of clinical work, discuss reflections and workshop musical approaches.
The participants filled out evaluation and feedback forms following the conclusion of the project, and I was moved to read their words. All participants rated their experience as “very useful”, and all highlighted the benefits of meeting in pairs so they could learn from reflecting on each other’s work as well as their own. One participant wrote: “I would definitely like to highlight Jenny’s professionalism, her warm and friendly attitude toward us, and her constant willingness to help. I also want to thank every person involved in this project for giving us the opportunity to learn and grow.” – which was very nice to read!
The participants all also noted that they would value more supervision in the future; I hope this is something we will be able to support them with and play a part in the continued strengthening of their practice. Until then!
