Lucy Osborne
Interactive Music-Making Course Leader
Lucy is joining the team as our Interactive Music-Making Course Leader in 2025. Alongside her work with Music as Therapy International, Lucy works as a music therapist in an NHS Child Development Service, and in specialist Autism provisions in primary schools.
After studying for a Music Degree with a Year Abroad in France, Lucy received her MA in Music Therapy from Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since then she has built up particular experience working with children and families in mainstream and specialist early years settings and is currently working with children with social communication difficulties, complex needs and some who have experienced trauma.
Lucy’s music therapy work focuses on supporting children’s communication, peer interactions and emotional wellbeing and she enjoys working collaboratively with staff and parents, guiding them to take tools from music therapy into children’s daily lives. She is excited to take on the leadership of the Interactive Music-Making course, working closely with early years practitioners to help them build confidence to lead their own Interactive Music-Making groups.
