Our students are approaching their fourth week of training, getting to grips with the key theory underpinning the child-centred approach to music-making. Progressing their learning this term through a combination of seminars, practical workshops, and self-directed study, our students will each be equipped and supported to start practicing Interactive Music-Making groups in their own settings in the New Year.

This year’s cohort hail from as far afield as Scotland, Cheshire and Oxford, as well as London, with the exciting potential to expand our network of Interactive Music-Makers even further across the UK.

Alongside course tutor Alexia, students have also enjoyed guest teaching contributions from some of our new associate partners, including North London Music Therapy CIC, bringing new voices and expertise to the mix.

Our thanks to Quaggy Development Trust for hosting this year’s Interactive Music-Making course at Pound Park Children’s Centre and to Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust for their ongoing support.
