The third school in Hyderabad to receive Introductory Training, the Shraddha Centre fed into a developing local music network in this south Indian city. Its dedicated group of staff focused on social communication, self-expression for the children and young people in their care, with great results.

A groundbreaking project of firsts
Ethiopia
In 2017 we received an enquiry from Melkamu Meaza Zewdie, a doctor and Music, Health and Wellbeing Coordinator at the Federal Ministry of Health in Ethiopia. He had heard of our work and requested training to enhance the care available to people living in and around the capital.

In early 2020, Clare Reynolds returned to Invernevis House for the usual Follow-Up Visit. She was delighted to find the staff had taken their training and adapted it to make music work within their schedules reflecting our own approach to on-site training.

Structured training in the context of Covid-19

Our Structured Training course for the Early years is delivered in partnership with Oxleas Music Therapy Service. In 2019-20, as it was mid-delivery, participants were confronted with navigating their learning in the uncharted waters of a global pandemic.

Promoting control, agency and choice

This project saw us partner with national charity MacIntyre to skill-share with caregivers from different local branches across Beds, Herts and Milton Keynes. Resulting from the inquiry of one local caregiver, it shows how a grassroots passion for using music in care can generate long-lasting impact for vulnerable young people.

Rwanda
Building on our work in Rwanda and delivered in partnership with Hope and Homes for Children, this project introduced caregivers working at a Kigarama Centre in Kigali to ways they can use music to support the children who attend this community hub.
