In 2020, we returned to Moss Park Care Home in the Scottish Highlands to deliver a second Introductory Training Project, after we first trained staff back in 2016. Manager Eilidh, who took part in the first project as a caregiver, requested a second project to build on the tangible impact she had seen as a result of the first.

Supporting best practice in the UK

In May 2019, we were approached by Innovative Aged Care, who were interested in introducing music therapy techniques to the care provided at their private residential home, Chelsea Court Place. In response, we worked with the manager and caregivers to devise a tailored training project, delivered in September 2019.

Building a profile: Georgia’s first national music therapy conference

In a wonderful example of dedication and ownership, Partners from three different settings came together to not only create Georgia’s first Music Therapy Centre, but to hold their first Music Therapy Conference, to which we were delighted to contribute in 2019.

On-site skill-sharing: Growing in confidence together

In 2016, our ‘Bringing it all Back Home’ campaign sought to introduce our skill-sharing expertise from abroad to the UK. Oaklands was one of the very first settings we partnered with to do so, and remains a brilliant example of how supportive management and passionate staff can open doors for vulnerable young people with music.

Delivered across two care and education settings in the Telangana state in South India, our first project in India is a prime example of our long-held commitment to working in partnership, championing local leadership and respect of local practice.

As one of our first on-site skill-sharing projects in the UK, the training we provided care staff at two settings in Worthing helped create a blueprint for future activities and perfectly demonstrated the myriad benefits of introducing music into care for all those involved.

Occupied Palestinian Territories
As part of our ongoing commitment to Sustainability and Capacity Strengthening, after successful delivery of the Distance Learning model in the Occupied Palestinian Territories for a number of years, we undertook an evaluation of the course’s impact and ongoing relevance.
