    Rwanda

    After a few years of not travelling to Rwanda, we have returned to support the Rwandan Trainers (Audace Musoni, Fidele Nshimiye and Alphonsine Musabyemariya) with their own music sessions and their other music initiatives.

    This is the first year that the delivery of the Distance Learning course will be in partnership with AsociaČ›ia “Sound Art E-Motion” after the course was awarded local accreditation in Romania in 2022.

    The final of 3 planned training events which will see staff from 7 settings access introductory training and a starter set of musical instruments in 2022. The first training event took place in Muhanga in 2020 and the second training event took place in Rusizi in 2021.

    Occupied Palestinian Territories

    Local Partner, Samar Andoni, a social worker from the Evangelical Lutheran Schools received help from music therapist and Advisory Panel member, Hazel Childs, to prepare her to deliver a training and share her skills of using music with other teachers in the schools.

    The second of 3 planned training events which will see staff from 11 settings access introductory training and a starter set of musical instruments in 2021. The first training event took place in Muhanga towards the end of 2020.

    Guest lecture to undergraduates at The Academy of Contemporary Music (Guildford & Birmingham), with a focus on project development. Delivered online as a result of COVID-19 restrictions.

    Rwanda

    The first of 3 planned training events which will see staff from 13 settings access introductory training and a starter set of musical instruments in 2020. We also worked together with our Local Trainers to create a promotional leaflet in English and Kinyarwanda so they can advertise the introductory music training they are offering.
