Staff at Al-Masar (Child Development Services) in Amman are currently undertaking our Distance Learning Programme as the course runs for the second time in Jordan this year.

As part of the Distance Learning Programme, students must participate in an Intensive Study Training weekend to put some of their theoretical learning into practice. We donated a variety of musical instruments, including a hand drum, tambourine, maracas and much more, for participating staff to use during their training weekend.

Music Therapists Clare Reynolds and Liz Coombes will be travelling to Jordan next week to deliver the training so keep an eye out for their upcoming blog on how the weekend goes!

We hope that the donated musical instruments will empower staff and provide them with the means to keep running music sessions beyond completing the course, making music an integral part of the care they provide.
