    The rollout phase of Music Helps started organically in early 2022 in partnership with Kshetra Assisted Living by Heritage ElderCare Services Pvt. Ltd. to help make music an integral part of dementia care provision across care facilities and homes more widely in India and for people living with dementia and of Indian heritage in other countries.

  • Structured Training: Interactive Music-Making (London) 2022

    United Kingdom

    Delivery of our Interactive Music-Making structured training for early years practitioners in London. Hosted by Pound Park Children’s Centre and delivered in association with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, North London Music Therapy and Quaggy Development Trust.

    Ethiopia

    A 4-week on-site skill-sharing project providing training to caregivers working at Lebeza Psychiatry Clinic in Addis Ababa.

  • On-site skill-sharing: Livability (Poole) 2022

    United Kingdom

    Delivered in partnership with the UK charity Livability, this 8-week project provided training to staff supporting young adults with learning disabilities, building their confidence to embed the therapeutic benefits of music into their care.

    Georgia

    A 7-week on-site skill-sharing project providing training to caregivers working at Open House in Kutaisi, Georgia. Led by an Georgian music therapist and supported by a music therapist and Advisory Panel member from the UK.

  • Distance learning programme: Jordan 2022

    Jordan

    Our first delivery of the Distance Learning model in Jordan in partnership with Musicians Without Borders. The course comprises a series of 7 monthly tutorials and written assignments, participation in an Intensive Study Weekend and a supervised Practical Assignment.

  • Online training: Music Helps Pilot (Hyderabad) 2022

    India

    The delivery of Music Helps, our music in dementia care online training tool in India. This course was developed by music therapist and Advisory Panel member, Nina Cherla, in response to a project request from Pavithra Gangadharan, Founder of Kshetra Assisted Living by Heritage ElderCare Services Pvt. Ltd, to help make music an integral part of dementia care provision across care facilities and homes in India. In early 2022 the pilot was extended to UK family carers of Indian heritage.
