  • On-site skill-sharing: The Fields (Sheffield) 2016

    A 6-week project providing training to staff at The Fields, a residential centre, to introduce music into the care and activities they were providing for adults with learning disabilities who residing at the centre. Part of Bringing It All Back Home.

  • Structured training: Interactive Music-Making (London) 2016

    United Kingdom

    The 5th delivery of our Interactive Music-Making structured training for early years practitioners in London. Hosted for the first time by Clyde Early Childhood Centre and delivered in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, the course comprised a series of 12 weekly seminars and a practical assignment, evidencing their learning with a Practice Portfolio and the option to complete a written assignment.

  • Distance learning programme: OPT 2015

    Occupied Palestinian Territories

    We partnered with Musician Without Borders to pilot the use of our Distance Learning Model in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. This pilot enabled us to explore the relevance of extending the model beyond Romania with all materials translated into Arabic and tailored to local culture and care practice.

  • On-site skill-sharing: Patashala Primary School and Arms Centre (Hyderabad) 2015

    India

    This 6-week project was delivered in partnership with ‘Hyderapals’, a small organisation already working in the Hyderabad in a number of schools and centres across the city. Led by an Indian music therapist, we provided training to teachers at Patashala Primary School and staff at the ARMS Centre for children and adults with autism.

  • Distance learning programme: Romania 2015

    Romania

    The 6th delivery of training delivered through our Distance Learning Model, this course comprised a series of 7 monthly tutorials and written assignments, participation in an Intensive Study Weekend – hosted by our partners from the Day Centre ‘Sf. Maria’ in Cluj – and a supervised Practical Assignment. The course can accommodate up to 12 practitioners interested to learn how they can use music within the care and/or edication they provide for young children with disabilities in different care settings around the country.

  • University lecture series 2015

    We delivered a series of guest lectures to undergraduates on the Early Years programme at the University of Greenwich, entitled “Music Therapy and Interactive Music-Making in the Early Years: An Introduction”.

  • On-site skill-sharing: Noel de Nyundo Orphanage and Ubumwe Community Centre (Gisenyi) 2014

    Rwanda

    A 6-week project, delivered in partnership with Hope and Homes and The Gallagher Trust, providing training to staff caring for children and young adults with disabiltieis at the Noel de Nyundo Orphanage and Ubumwe Community Centre in Gisenyi, near Rwanda’s border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This project had been deferred from 2013 as a result of local unrest.
