    We returned to Centrul de Educatie Incluziva in Oradea, to support a workshop led by a Local Partner to nurture and inspire the use of music by the teachers at the school, who have been our Local Partners since 2002.

  • On-site skill-sharing: Moss Park (Fort William) 2020

    United Kingdom

    A second 6-week field project with Moss Park Care Home, a residental centre for elderly people in Fort William, many of whom live with dementia. We provided training to two new staff members, and top-up training to two further members of staff who had taken part in Moss Park’s first introductory training project (2016), to introduce and sustain the use of music within the care and activities of their residents.

  • Follow-up visit: Invernevis House (Fort William) 2020

    United Kingdom

    We returned to Invernevis House (Fort William, Highlands), to support staff with their ongoing use of music following the introductory training project delivered in 2019. Sharing successes, developing practice and troubleshooting.

  • Musical instrument fund: UK 2020

    United Kingdom

    We piloted the Musical Instrument Fund in the UK, giving partners the opportunity to apply for new instruments when theirs have become tired, lost or broken. This was opportunity was in response to partners commenting that, in light of COVID-19, instrument sharing risked cross-contamination. Instruments were granted to Quaggy Children’s Centre (Greenwich).

  • University Guest Lecture 2020

    United Kingdom

    Guest lecture to undergraduates at The Academy of Contemporary Music (Guildford & Birmingham), with a focus on project development. Delivered online as a result of COVID-19 restrictions.

  • Structured training: Interactive Music-Making (London) 2019

    United Kingdom

    Delivery of our Interactive Music-Making structured training for early years practitioners in London. Hosted by James Wolfe Primary School and delivered in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

    A 6-week project, delivered in partnership with Innovative Aged Care, providing training to five staff members caring for people living with dementia at Chelsea Court Place Care Home (London).

    A 6-week project provided training to three staff members and one volunteer working at Invernevis House, a residential home for older people, many of whom are living with dementia, in the highlands of Scotland.

  • On-site skill-sharing: MacIntyre No Limits (Luton) 2019

    Delivered in partnership with MacIntyre No Limits, the Hertfordshire branch of a UK-wide service. This project provided training to six members of their team who wanted to organise music sessions to provide meaningful group activities for the young people they support.

  • Distance learning programme: OPT 2019

    Occupied Palestinian Territories

    The fourth delivery of this training course, delivered via our Distance Learning Model, run in partnership with Musicians Without Borders. Training activity leaders and social workers to use music in their work with children in the region.
